Jami focuses her practice on bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, out-of-court workouts, bankruptcy litigation and general commercial litigation. She has represented secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, creditors’ committees and individual committee members, landlords, tenants, asset purchasers and other parties in interest in bankruptcy cases and creditors’ rights matters. Jami’s practice has involved such matters as:
- Representation of a Fortune 100 company in bankruptcy matters nationwide
- Representation of clients in defense of preferential transfer and fraudulent transfer actions
- Representation of financial institutions and other lenders in matters pertaining to debtor-in-possession financing and cash collateral agreements, relief from stay litigation, plan negotiations, plan confirmation issues and objections, “cramdown” actions, including valuation issues, proof of claim litigation, preference and fraudulent transfer litigation
- Representation of financial institutions and other lenders with respect to workouts and restructurings, and default issues and remedies, such as negotiation and documentation of loan amendments and forbearance agreements, UCC Article 9 rights, including foreclosure and disposition of collateral subject to security interests, foreclosure litigation, replevins and deficiency judgment proceedings
- Representation of purchasers and prospective purchasers of assets from debtor estates
- Representation of judgment creditors in executions against personal and real property and other collection efforts
- Representation of parties in enforcement of consumer and small business loan obligations, including residential foreclosures, bankruptcies, collection and other litigation matters, and unique issues involving Pennsylvania and Delaware law
- Defense of parties in confession of judgment actions and representation of parties in actions to strike and/or open confessed judgments
- Counseling of businesses with respect to structuring of transactions
Jami is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences on issues pertaining to creditors’ rights and bankruptcy issues. In 2007, 2008 and 2009, Jami’s peers selected her as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer®, an honor conferred upon the top 5% of lawyers in Pennsylvania. |
